Intended Use
Apply FistoPaint & Metro Paint as an intermediate or topcoat on new Or previously painted interior or exterior surfaces, including wallboard, wood, concrete, masonry, vinyl, and metal. Suitable surface preparation And primer coating are required before application. Refer to the applicable paint product data sheet for more information.
Spreading Rate
Apply one or two coats at 100 to 400 square feet per gallon per coat. Actual coverage may vary with application method and substrate condition. A textured or porous surface may require more paint.
Conditions
Paint should be applied when the surface and ambient temperatures remain between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and relative humidity will remain between 30 and 80 percent for at least 24 to 48 hours. Avoid painting in direct, hot sunlight.
Preperation
Remove any loose paint. Wash surface using pressure Washer or suitable cleaning agent. Allow the surface to dry before coating. Primer Apply a suitable primer or sealer coat before applying FistoPaint & Metro Paint. Warning! When preparing the surface before applying FistoPaint & MetroPaint, scraping, sanding, or removing old paint may release lead dust. Lead is Toxic. Exposure to Lead Dust Can Cause Serious Illness Such As Brain Damage, Especially in Children. Pregnant Women Also Should Avoid Exposure. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Paint application
FistoPaint & Metro Paint is high-viscosity paint filtered to industry standards. Stir Thoroughly before application and periodically during use. Thinning is not required for brushing or rolling. If thinning is required for spraying, reduce consistency by adding up to one cup of water per gallon of paint. Do not use turpentine or oil-based paint, thinners, or solvents.
Drying Times
Dry to touch: 30 to 45 minutes. Dry to recoat: one to two hours. These approximate drying times are at normal temperature and humidity and can be affected by varying conditions.
WashAbility
Allow at least 30 days after application before washing. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools.
Cleanup and Disposal
Clean up spills and equipment immediately with warm soapy water. Dispose of unused paint properly and in accordance with local regulations. Consult local authorities for disposal or recycling options. Do not pour paint down sinks or drains. VOC Maximum of 250 grams per liter of volatile organic compounds. CAUTION!
